Looking for help for you or someone you know with a drinking problem?
Help with a drinking problem is closer than you might think — and Alcoholics Anonymous has been providing it for nearly 100 years. If you or someone you love is struggling with alcoholism, this page will point you toward the right resources.
TIAA Forum is primarily oriented toward AA members supporting technology in service work. Nevertheless, if you’ve found this page because you need help with a drinking problem, we want to make sure you find what you’re looking for.
Ways to Find Help
- Search or use AI tools on your phone or computer to find AA phone numbers or online meetings near you.
- Contact your local AA Intergroup or Central Office — sometimes called a Central Office. If you live in or near an urban area in the US or Canada, a service office is likely nearby and ready to help.
- Rural areas are covered too — your closest Intergroup may have contacts near where you live.
- Download the AA Meeting Guide app — available free on iOS and Android — to find open meetings close to you. Furthermore, even if you’re not sure whether you’re an alcoholic, you are welcome at any open meeting. Members will do their best to answer your questions.
- Contact us directly — if none of the above works, email us at info@tiaa-forum.org and we’ll do everything we can to help.
Alcoholics Anonymous is not the only solution to alcoholism, but it has worked for millions of people. Moreover, AA meetings exist in almost every community worldwide, and many are available online. We hope and pray you find the answers and help you need.
